The Taiwan government plans to issue bonds worth about T$430 billion ($13 billion) in 2009 from an estimated T$410 billion this year, a finance ministry official said on Friday.

The official told Reuters about the plan, but not provide any further details.

Taiwan plans to issue T$410 billion in government bonds this year to fund the state treasury and already sold T$310 billion worth of 5-, 10- and 20-year treasury bonds in the first three quarters.
